Taris
A new paradigm in the treatment of bladder diseases
Pipeline: Bladder Cancer
With more than 500,000 people affected in the US, and more than 70,000 new cases annually, bladder cancer represents the fourth most common cancer in men and the fifth most common cancer overall. The disease represents a ~$3.8B annual burden on the healthcare system. Better outcomes and reduced disease recurrence are serious unmet needs for bladder cancer patients, and TARIS is pursuing several opportunities in treating this underserved population.
Bladder cancer is generally broken into 2 major segments: Non-Muscle Invasive Bladder Cancer (NMIBC) and Muscle Invasive Bladder Cancer (MIBC); NMIBC is usually further stratified by risk of progression. TARIS is pursuing product opportunities to address unmet needs in both major segments:
- All Risk NMIBC: Prevent tumor recurrence
- High Risk NMIBC: Prevent tumor progression to MIBC
- MIBC: Reduce need for radical cystectomy
